A long-overdue quality-of-life improvement: shared files now have a proper management menu. You can copy the share link again or delete files you no longer need.
The Problem
Previously, when you shared a file through 3D Lab Viewer, you’d get a share link once. If you lost that link or needed to send it again, there was no easy way to retrieve it. And if you wanted to clean up old shared files, there was no delete option.
Not great.
What’s New
Each shared file now has a small menu with two actions:
Lost the share link? Need to send it to another person? Just click the menu and copy the link again. Simple, but surprisingly essential.
Delete File
Done with a shared model? Don’t want it accessible anymore? Delete it. The shared link will stop working and the file gets removed from storage.
This gives you actual control over your shared content, which is important when you’re sharing engineering files or client models that shouldn’t live on the internet forever.
Why This Matters for the Workflow
At 3D Lab Bali, we share model previews with customers all the time. Sometimes a customer comes back days later asking for the link again. Sometimes a project gets cancelled and we want to clean up. This menu handles both cases.
It’s a small UI addition - just a little context menu on each shared file - but it closes real gaps in the workflow.
